How do I Add a New User to SaaSAssure?

Users are added and managed under the settings section on the user's sub-page.

Required User Roles: Only Global Admins or Account Admins have permissions to add/modify Users

Only Global Admins can modify other Global Admins.

To add a new user:

1. Go to the settings section by clicking on the settings icon Settings Icon and navigating to the Users page via the sub-navigation menu.

 

2. When on the Users page click the Add User button Add Users Button. This will open the Add User modal. 



3. Complete the form at the top by entering the new user's first name, last name, and email. You will also need to retype the user's email for email validation. 


4. In the user role selector  User Role Selector, select the role you want this user to have.

5. There is an optional step to add an account group tag to the user. This will pre-filter accounts lists for only those accounts that have the same account group tags.

6. When you are satisfied with the information and user configuration you have entered click the 'Next' button. 

 

7. The next modal page will ask if you want to enable MultiFactor Authentication (MFA). It is strongly recommended that you enable this feature. To activate MFA click the toggle button to change it from disabled  Toggle Button - Disabled to enabled Toggle Button - Enabled.

You'll have the option to add MFA to sign in and all destructive user actions or to specific user actions only. The user actions that can have MFA assigned at this time are: 

      • Sign In
      • Edit backup
      • Delete backup
      • On-demand backup
      • On-demand restore
      • Remove connector
      • Delete storage location
      • Deactivate account
      • Delete account

Click the 'Next' to proceed.

8. The last modal page is a summary of all the user configurations. Should you need to edit any information you can do so here. When you are satisfied with the user configuration click the 'Add' button to create this new user. 

 

9. The new user will receive a SaaSAssure welcome email sent to the email address you entered into the form. They will need to click on the 'Activation Link' within that email to activate their account.
