What User Roles does SaaSAssure have?

SaaSAssure has three administrative roles available to reflect different work needs.

User Roles

SaaSAssure provides three unique user roles to guarantee comprehensive oversight and efficient management of the platform.

  • Global Administrator: a user with this role can perform all tasks without any restrictions including:
    • Configuration of accounts, users, connectors, and storage accounts
    • Performing backups and restores
    • Viewing logs
    • Managing invoices and usage reports
  • Account Administrator: a user with this role is limited to tasks related to managing SaaSAssure on behalf of the MSP, they are limited from the management backup and restore activities. Account administrators cannot change the user roles of Global Administrators. They can do the following: 
    • Configuration of accounts, users, and connectors
    • Viewing logs
    • Managing invoices and usage reports

  • Backup Administrator: a user with this role is limited to tasks related to managing the backup and restore activities. They can do the following:
    • Configuration of storage locations
    • Performing backups and restores
    • Viewing logs

Important Note: Multiple users can have the same user role. 

Page Restrictions by User Role

The user's role determines which pages within SaaSAssure they can access, as certain pages are designed for managing the MSP account while others are for backup and restore activities.
