How do I Delete a Backup?

Any backup set can be deleted, which will delete all associated restore points.

Required User Roles: Only Global Admins or Backup Admins have permissions to delete backups.

To delete an existing backup and associated restore points please follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the account and connector for the backup in question. Each backup listed within a connector has an action menu at the right-side of the backup list, which is represented by an ellipsis Action Menu - Ellipse

 

2. Click the ellipse to open the action menu and select the 'Delete' option Backup Action Menu - Delete

 

3. The 'Delete Backup' confirmation modal will ask you to enter your user password to confirm the deletion of this backup. Enter your password and click the 'Delete' button. 

MultiPerson Approval (MPA): If MPA is enabled on the account then the required approvers need to approve the deletion of the backup before the system will proceed with the requested change. 

MultiFactor Authentication (MFA): If MFA is enabled on the user then the system will require the user to confirm the deletion of the backup via the MFA tool that was used with SaaSAssure. 

 

4. Once the system successfully started the deletion process you will see a notification confirming this action has begun.
