Each backup set has an edit option within a backup's action menu.
Required User Roles: Only Global Admins or Backup Admins have permissions to edit backups.
To edit an existing backup please follow these steps:
1. Navigate to the account and connector for the backup in question. Each backup listed within a connector has an action menu at the right-side of the backup list, which is represented by an ellipsis .
2. Click the ellipse to open the action menu and select the 'Edit' option . In the 'Edit Backup' view there is a form field for editing the backups name as well as three accordions for editing the 'Backup Items' (restore points), 'Schedule', and 'Storage Location'.
3. Click into the accordions to made the needed changes and then click the 'Save' button.
Important Note: Some backup configuration items cannot be modified at this time such as the storage location.
MultiPerson Approval (MPA): If MPA is enabled on the account then the required approvers need to approve the edits to the backup configuration before the system will proceed with the requested change.
MultiFactor Authentication (MFA): If MFA is enabled on the user then the system will require the user to confirm edits to the backup configuration via the MFA tool that was used with SaaSAssure.
4. A confirmation modal will ask you to confirm the changes. Once confirmed and the system successfully implements the changes you will see a notification message noting the changes were successful.
