Billing cycles do not change when connector plans are modified, rather you are pro-rated each plan's duration within the billing cycle.
When you switch from a monthly plan to an annual plan for a connector, you will be charged a pro-rated amount for the remaining billing cycle. This allows you to take advantage of the annual pricing benefits immediately after upgrading your plan.
Important Note: Although you receive the annual price benefit as soon as you upgrade the plan the annual plan start and end date come into effect on the next billing cycle.
Meaning the annual commitment is added only after the current billing cycle completed and the revised commitment will be 12 months from the start of the next billing cycle.
