      Setting up a Storage Location

      Bring your own storage or use our Asigra Cloud storage for free.

      Required User Roles: Only Global Admins or Backup Admins have permissions to add storage locations.

      Storage locations are set at account level (tenant-level). You can have as many storage locations and buckets as you would like and if you would like to you can use the same storage account across multiple accounts.

      Important Note: SaaSAssure provides a cloud storage option but the management of what data goes to what storage location is managed user-level. Any compliance or regulatory needs should be owner and managed by SaaSAssure users to ensure the business needs are being met. 

      To add a storage location: 

      1. Using the account selector Accounts Selector, select the account you would like the storage location to be within.

       

      2. Once within the account select the 'Storage Locations' sub-menu option in the left-hand navigation. 

       

      3. In the upper-right corner click on the add storage location button Add Storage Location Button.

       

      4. On the Add Storage Location page: 

          • Select the S3 storage type you are using: Amazon S3 or other. 
            • If you select other you will need to provide a service URL
          • Name the storage location
          • Add the Access Key ID, Secret Access Key and the name of an existing bucket to use. 

      Once done click the 'Add' button. 

       

      5. Once the system successfully adds the new storage location you will receive a notification informing you of it's success. You will now see the new storage location in the account's storage location list.
